Changing names was a political thing. The name Kalka Mail was in use for over a century and needed no change. But Railways is a political cow to be squeezed. Rather than logically naming trains, they irrationally name them.
As for LHB, I am surprised than it hasn't gone that route yet. Even shitty trains here in NER have gotten new coaches but apparently, the respective zone hasn't bothered to give Kalka Mail new coaches. Only goes to show that they don't care much about this train.
