Great news. Only 2 issues here. its a day train from BGKT. Should have been overnight. Secondly its taking 18 hrs end to end which means there is a slack of minimum 2 hrs in it. DDR- BKN covers this distance upto Ju in 16 hrs on same route. I don't understand why IR still wants to keep so much slack when everywhere most of the route is doubled and electrified. WDFC is also functional now. So the goods movement must have shifted on this route. Then why IR is not removing unnecessary slack from this route.
Its express train but bikaner dadar is a SF category train that's y taking more time then BKN DDR. Plus due to unavailability of morning slots in Ahmedabad, this train is affected and slack given b/w DDR-ADI
Adi is one of the biggest stations in India. I am not sure why slots are not available in morning for a passing train. for a starting train it may be a challenge. Look at Surat, only 4 PFs but it is managing more than what ADI is managing. Although most of these are passing trains.
It's about parking slot in dadar incoming train should leave within 2 hours and respective zones have designed the TT to be day journey which ideally should be overnight.
Surat is a passing train station and doesn't have much originating or terminating trains, that's why its perfectly managed though having 4 PFs. While ADI has much higher originating/terminating trains.
