girnar is sacred hill which is near Junagadh. Girnar itself is not a city or a town it is near to Junagadh just as Somnath is near Veraval.

Girnar is sacred pilgrimage hill for several sects of Hindus like Jains, Vaishnavs, etc. it is considered a sacred place even by muslims because of the dataar pir dargah. a very popular pilgrim and tourist place for us Saurasthra people. We have an annual national level competition about climbing the Girnar and we have the annual parikarma too which sees at least 5 to 6 lac people visiting Girnar in five days.
