Fair argument, but I can also say that if an AC Express is introduced, where will all the poor people go? They also need sleeper coaches right? Instead of one rich train and one poor train, this has been launched as an almost-full-AC train.

I don't see the issue with sleeper becoming history as we progress forward. It will take more than a decade for such a thing to happen. More people are able to afford AC anyway.

Today, the average Indian can afford 3AC. only the BPL populations and lower economic strata entirely depend on SL, and even for them some SL coaches are there.

When the country's poverty is reducing, I don't see the issue in providing more premium services. And please don't suggest going by flight. Europe has already shown that HSR is the future, after which flights are only used for international travel.
