आंदोलनाची दखल घेत केंद्रीय मंत्री नितीन गडकरी यांच्या मध्यस्तीने काटोल नरखेडच्या शिष्टमंडळाची रेल्वे मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव यांच्याशी झालेल्या चर्चेतून नरखेड स्थानकावर चार, तर काटोल स्थानकावर दोन गाड्यांचे थांबे मिळाले आहेत. लॉकडाऊनपूर्वी नरखेड रेल्वे स्थानकावर ३० रेल्वे गाड्यांचे थांबे होते. मात्र, अनलॉकनंतर एकही एक्स्प्रेस गाड्यांचा थांबा देण्यात आला नव्हता. या दोन्ही स्थानकावर एक्स्प्रेस गाड्यांना थांबे मिळावे यासाठी सर्वपक्षीय आंदोलन झाले. याशिवाय सर्वपक्षीय शिष्टमंडळाने दिल्ली येथे रेल्वे मंत्री अश्विन वैष्णव व राज्यमंत्री रावसाहेब दानवे यांच्याशी चर्चा करून थांब्याबाबत आश्वासन मिळविले होते. परंतु, आश्वासनाची पूर्ती झाली नव्हती. मात्र, केंद्रात भाजपचे सरकार असतानाही राज्य आणि स्थानिक पातळीवरील नेत्यांचेही कुणीही ऐकण्यास तयार नसल्याने नरखेड रेल्वे स्थानकाबाहेर भाजपच्या वतीने पुन्हा आंदोलन सुरू करण्यात आले. या आंदोलनाची दखल घेत नरखेड येथे गोंडवाना एक्स्प्रेस, अमरावती-जबलपूर एक्स्प्रेस, दानापूर एक्स्प्रेस, छत्तीसगड एक्स्प्रेस व काटोलला गोंडवाना एक्स्प्रेस, अमरावती-जबलपूर एक्स्प्रेस, जयपूर एक्स्प्रेसचे थांबे देण्यात येणार आहे. १४ ऑक्टोबरपासून गोंडवाना एक्स्प्रेसचा थांबा नरखेड व काटोल येथे सुरू होणार आहेत, तर इतर गाड्यांचे थांबे पुढील आठवड्यात सुरू होतील, असे आश्वासन रेल्वे मंत्र्यांनी दिले असल्याची माहिती भाजपाचे जिल्हा उपाध्यक्ष चरणसिंग ठाकूर यांनी दिली. इकडे नरखेड स्थानकावर जोवर एक्स्प्रेस गाड्यांना थांबा मिळत नाही तोपर्यंत आंदोलन सुरू राहील, असे मत मनोज कोरडे, श्यामराव बारई व संजय कामटे यांनी व्यक्त केले.

BJP's agitation was partially successful

Narkhed : A chain of strike and dharna agitation is going on since September 4 to demand that express train stops be reinstated at the railway station. Taking cognizance of this movement, through the mediation of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Katol Narkhed delegation's discussion with Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, four trains stopped at Narkhed station and two at Katol station. Before the lockdown, there were 30 train stops at Narkhed railway station. However, none of the express trains were stopped after unlocking. There was an all-party movement to get stops for express trains at these two stations. Apart from this, the all-party delegation held talks with Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav and Minister of State Raosaheb Danve in Delhi and got assurances about the stoppage. However, the promise was not fulfilled. However, despite the BJP government at the centre, no one was ready to listen to the leaders of the state and local levels, so another protest was started on behalf of the BJP outside the Narkhed railway station. Taking cognizance of this protest, stops of Gondwana Express, Amravati-Jabalpur Express, Danapur Express, Chhattisgarh Express and Gondwana Express, Amravati-Jabalpur Express, Jaipur Express will be provided at Narkhed. BJP District Vice President Charan Singh Thakur informed that the railway minister has assured that Gondwana Express stops will be started at Narkhed and Katol from October 14, while the stops of other trains will start next week. Manoj Korde, Shyamrao Barai and Sanjay Kamte expressed the opinion that the agitation will continue till the Jowar Express trains are not stopped here at Narkhed station.
