Ritzraj~ 1480 blog postsIdeally this train should have run via Jodhpur. The route would be atleast 200 km short. Don't understand why IR is not serious to provide benefit of shortest route for end yo end pax. Longer route can be allowed as an alternative but first shortest route should be started.

I never said it is the shortest route, I said it is shorter route and I am correct since existing route is 2068 km long and via jodhpur degana rathangarh churu it is only 1809 km hence short by 260 km. Even if the avg speed is reduced by 5 kmph, still it will consume lesser time if run through Jodhpur. Once NWR is fully electrified, then this route will be equally faster as compared to the existing route
