let me grab this opportunity to narrate the anecdote of 13023/24 hwh gaya express. earlier this train used to run via grand chord and was the train of choice for howrah to gaya passengers and ran bang on time. now it is diverted via sahibganj loop and its scheduled run takes more than double the time it used to take earlier. priority decreased. train began running alarmingly late. 8~9 hours delay was nothing and people got accustomed to it so much so that hardly any passenger believed that its scheduled departure time at sbg was 8pm as none of the day it crossed sbg before 2am. anyways, now its all corrected. major overhaul and now if you arrive at 8.30pm you must anticipate that you will miss the train.
