will the passengers be given berth nos at the time of reservation for 1AC?..if no how to know them before the train departs?
1AC passengers are given confirmed tickets only. Berth numbers are allotted when charting is done.
Normally one four berth cabin is allotted, if you have four persons in single PNR and similarly 2 berth coupe is allotted for two pax in single PNR. This is all subject to availability.

The compartment/cabin/coupe numbers for First AC (1A) and First Class (FC) will be allotted at the time of chart preparation.
can i know the berth no from internet after chart has been prepared or should i go to the station enquiry before the train departs..?

after charting check your status on www.indianrail.gov.in.
You will get your seat no.
