Generally, there won't be any termination. They will make them unfit and downgrade will happen for operating staff. Might be going to some administration work based on qualification.

Yes downgrading will happen and if it repeatedl ,Suspension ,then Inquiry will be conducted .depending upon I.O recommendation ,Termination is. possible also .
In case of fatal accident ,court of inquiry will be conducted by concerned Com. of safety and he will decide on Quantum of punishment etc
During Suspension period half basic salary plus DA will be paid .if found not guilty ,balance salary ,other applicable payment will be given .or else he will be downgraded to other duties
