WAG 9 is my fav Locomotive in electric, maybe because of Green Color, my fav color, and yes it's speed too, that's why it is sometimes used in express trains, very long ago, I travelled in Coimbatore LTT express, it was hauled by ET WAG 9, still it felt like WAP 7, afterall WAP 7 is modified from WAG9 Loco
