F Ahmad^~ 2961 blog postsThis might be one of the most loved trains of SCR but the maintenance is really pathetic. Travelled in it from New Delhi to Secunderabad but got a very bad taste of this train. The vestibule have become very dirty and even the toilets were very dirty. I didn't even see any OBHS during the entire journey wondering even if they have one. The journey in AC classes are so bad then what would be the condition of Sleeper coaches.

Reason could be in winter ,Sch goes haywire due to FOG ..NDLS station is unable. To handle trains which come daily .around 400 trains daily .terminating ,and thru trains
I have travelled in Falcon ,Godavari ,Gautami ,Ajanta exp ,Easy coast number of time .Except fir east coast ,all trains are maintained .
GodVari and Gautami are maintIned very well at VSKP and COA respectively .

railway is focusing on running more and more vband converting SL to 3A. that would be only possible if railway is able to deteriorate the conditions of all these SFs. Thats why we are witnessing a down fall in maintenance of all these train. Be it Azad HInd, Be it Poorva or Be it TG
over nights cant be compared with a 24hr running train. most of the overnights are well maintained
Yes, this is right in the case of Shatabdi and Intercities. We will see them slowed down and poorly maintained rakes allotted so that VBs stand ahead in comparison to them as a brand and public demand more of/switch to VBs ignoring their high fare, owing to lack of alternative options available.
But doing this for long distance regular SFs is a kind of misfire and a step ahead of its time( Sleeper variant of VBs are still a 2-3 years distant dream), denting its loyal travelers base, lest IR cares for them. Or if it wants them to switch to other modes, then the situation will prevail.

Maintenance is not just one day issue, it degrades slowly with time leading to bad shape.
It's one of the prestigious trains of SCR and must be having OBHS facility but i didn't see them even once during 26 hour journey. In long journey you need help of OBHS to maintain the train. Even no cleaning service enroute any station. All these things together sum up to be total mess of maintenance.
