The Gokarna Road station is like 9 km away from Gokarna. It's a pain in the ass to catch a KSRTC bus there.

The best bet is to head to Kumta and stay there for a night. Get up early in the morning and head to Gokarna. The Kumta station is 500 meters away from the highway and the bus stand. Inquire at the bus stand to find out if there's a bus heading to Gokarna. Buses are tough to find. If you can't find any, stay in Kumta for a night and continue your journey fresh the next morning.

There are autos available at the station, but they charge crazy amounts.
