The line up at prayagraj ๐๐ป๐๐ป shows how there's a desparate need of 3rd line in DDU-PRYJ-CNB and a diff one along with a new terminal and connection towards bsb for trains coming from iradatganj side ... All standing back to back signals ..

No matter how many lanes you create but without flyover & sub-way etc the traffic gonna get choked (as like toll plaza)!! 3/4 Lane only will not work when Freight ex Corridor & Naini/Chunar will merge on mainline along with JBP side passenger traffic..remember they cross over Trunk Line..and they still will irrespective of how many track you lay!!

Well the controllers too Seems to smoked up ... With that huge line up .. even rajdhanis stranded midways ... They r keeping d platform occupied for hours ... 12488 made a halt of around an hour .. 12308 still there arrived since 7:15 am ..
New Terminal always is pain as it divert trains feasible for connectivity from main stations.
JBP incoming trains at PCOI needs underpass not to block UP/DN track for signal clearance. Further holding line need to exist between Karchana-Cheoki so JBP bound trains dont choke track for clearance!! JBP UP/DN Twin line parallel to trunk from PCOI with DDU bound track cross trunk via underpass later on could eliminate issue to great extent. Usually trains get delayed between Karchana-PCOI!!

Why don't they upgrade alternative routes? Bsb-lko-mb (all 3 routes) and bsb-ucr-cnb section can be upgraded as alternative for ddu-gzb line. A simple bypass at chunar will provide alternative for pcoi-sta-kte line. Kasganj-aligarh new line will make an altogether new route to gzb via ddu-ucr-cnb-ksj-aljn. But IR just won't utilise the alternate routes and would rather run trains on the already oversaturated ddu-pryj-cnb-aljn line.
