Can someone please tell me difference between loop line, main line, branch line and chord line? I have heard these terms used here many time. Hwh ddu main line, hwh ddu grand chord, sahebganj loop, etc.

Main line which is pass by any station and not touching any small platform at small station.
Loop line which connects main line with platform.
Loop line which connects main line with platform.
