Arambagh Trip
Part -2
The newly constructed line is a bit haphazatly constructed with many loose rails lying half connected to the operational one. The alignment is very high as there are many rivers cris-crossing the route (Damodar, Mundeshwari and many more rivulets). One thing noticeable was that the bridges did not produce a clattering sound while the train was crossing, most probably new technology as I did not see any iron girders. Instead it was concrete, like road bridges. At Arambagh I witnessed a very desolate station suddenly turning to life at...
