sometimes chart for tomorrow's afternoon train also gets prepared by today night/evening.so no surprises.. it depends train to train.
Aseem ji Generally charting time for the trains departing before noon 12.00 is previous night after 20.00 hrs (between 20.00 and 22.00 hrs) from Monday to Saturday.
On Sunday PRS counters are open up to 14.00(at some stations) and 16.00 hrs. So charting is done after 16.00 hrs on Sunday for Monday morning trains.
There are some exceptions in above, in some trains charting is done same day 2-3 hrs before the departure time for morning trains.

There are Great exceptions. Some times Train strating at Monday 8 AM got Chart Prepapred by 10 AM Sunday. Thus disable booking of any tickets.
This usually happen at stations where very less train start.
It is probabbly linked to Laizness of Railway staff and Our Laziness in Complaining this practices.

I have seen instances in Sundays, chart being prepared after 7 or 8 for that nights train or the morning one.
Don't know whether the persons stay till then or delay the chart purposefully till that time.
