There's no direct train available from here to Tamilnadu or Karnataka, always have to change trains from New Delhi or Hazrat Nizamuddin. And even then, you end up with a waiting list. There's a weekly express to Kochuveli in Kerala from Amritsar but no train to connect Chennai or Bengaluru.
