3-4 years is a very long time ! :( 2026 mei to new expressway khul jayega.. 130 kmph mps on major sections is becoming tardy and outdated ! in case where expressways are coming in direct competition. Railways should now focus on going beyond 160 kmph , point to point journeys , open ticketing system on such sections ! Delhi Chandigarh , Jaipur , Lucknow / Kanpur , Amritsar / Jammu , Jhansi , Kota etc.

yes ! 160 kmph is too low !! it is even not considered as HSR qualifying speed.. which should be minimum 200 kmph ! Indian hisab se thik thik laga lo.. 130 kmph is low ! Delhi Shamli Ambala Expressway is already under contruction which will reduce the travel time between CDG-Delhi to merely 3 hours.. Delhi - Umb then can be covered in 2.5 hours... beating Klk Shatabdi supremacy ...
160 kmph is the bare minimum need of the hour ! !!!
