Its absolutely fine...u can cancel such tickets from any and all PRS with CC Facility and its safe from misuse as the money is credited back to the owner of the card and no cash refund is done.
can somebody inform as to how many prs centres accept credit card in the counters? Northern Rly prs system in Delhi do not accept credit cards. so we generally depend on irctc or pay cash in res. counters. may be some divisions of IR are still accepting cards and have special counters. here in Delhi, there is no counter. previously they were accepting, on enquiry i was told that there were some disputes with credt card issuers and NR, so they stopped accepting cards altogether. for some days, only standard chartered special cards were accepted and aftr that it was also stopped.
how about other regions? can anybody give an idea of where all are cr cards accepted in counters?

Payment through credit cards for issue of reserved tickets is accepted on some nominated counters of computerised locations in India. In Northern Railway these counters are at IRCA, Reservation Office, New Delhi, Delhi Jn., Sarojini Nagar, Kirti Nagar and Karkadooma and the computerised reservation office, Lucknow .
