Why can't they increase the section speed from Perambur to Jolarpettai to 130 km/hr for this train which will reduce travel time.

mm probably SR is not interested in implementing compared to other zones of the country. Even kerala VB is said to be running at 68. There was report of leaking inside VB in kerala due to rain. In few years Delhi - Kolkata and Delhi - Mumbai will be running past 200 and south is not even included in the project till now so the trains here will be running slow only always, no respite.

Ballashah Gudur has got 130kmph approved certificate 2yrs back. In Oct 2022 all LHB trains are allowed to do 130kmph and also in many other routes where 130kmph upgradation has taken place. In Jan 2023 Vijayawada Vskp section is upgraded for 130kmph for VB and from Feb/March order trains are also allowed. In JTJ section also all LHB trains are being allowed to do 130kmph. The TT are not yet implemented in any of the section in SCR too and may be implemented ftom OCT 2023 when new TT comes into force and majority of the Loco pilots gets 130kmph training and running certificate. It not about North South divide but it's technical requirements in ground level signaling clearance of cargo trains due to increased speed of express trains to let them to in main lines. All these parameters are being tested in various zones before being imemented in TT...

as cutting running time in one zone will effect timings in other zones and clash with other trains.
