Diesel Loco Shed Hubli, the parent HHP EMD shed of IR, the home to our beloved Godfather, WDG 4 # 12001, the home to the Stalwarts of Dudhsagar, entered its 25th glorious year of service to the Nation on 15th April, 2023.
To commemorate the occasion, an opening ceremony of the 25th Year of Service was organized on 1st May, 2023 in the august presence of GM & AGM SWR, DRM Hubballi & other dignitaries.

more... any doubt, the star attraction of the occasion, WDP 4B # 40057 "Namma Karunadu" i.e. "Our Karnataka" in the native language. The locomotive has been beautifully painted in Karnataka Tourism theme which includes glimpses from the Kannada culture, traditions & iconic historical monuments like "The Ruins of Hampi", etc. The brand new state of the art C & M (Chemical & Metallurgy) laboratory was also inaugurated on this auspicious occasion, a firm step towards a brighter future & better service to the country. Kudos to the entire unit of DLS Hubli for doing their duties so diligently.

Also, lots of love & hats off to the brilliant artists cum railway men for their unparallel efforts on 40057 & the other two paintings as well. They worked relentlessly, day & night, to finally pull off such a stunner in a very short time.
