Condition of brand new 3AC economy coach of this train 🥲. Also notice how unauthorised pax have blocked the doors and toilets and this is what you will get when you upgrade your travel preference from SL to 3A or 3E.
Have a look at all his tweets in this trains travel this is what the bureaucrats in IR think of us now if you want to travel comfortably travel in VB or any other premium train or else go screw yourself even if you are travelling in AC class.

This is precisely the result when poor folks are priced out of train tickets by eliminating SL coaches. They end up either paying through their noses for tickets or simply barge ticketless into 3A/3E, and those who willingly paid more to travel in comfort are deprived of the same. It's almost as if every train will now have a "Garib Rath" in it, without the cheaper GR fares or the speed.
Even more shocking that they'd do this to a train like VSG-JSME that serves blue-collar workers almost entirely. Makes me fear...

VSG PNBE and UBL KCVL LHB planned with rake standardization. Few days back I posted that. They should run one more train on this route with only GS coaches and SL.
And I have seen even migrants now upgrading to AC class this Wednesday i dropped one migrant from my place to MAO who was travelling to PCOI in a group of around 10 migrants in 2AC. Things like this are a grave injustice to these migrants who work hard and save money for AC travel thinking it would be a enjoyable and comfortable journey.

They should introduce more Antyodaya-type trains to make up for what they've done, but I suspect that if profit was the reason to add way more AC coaches than the demand, then profit (or rather lack thereof) will be the reason to not introduce Antyodaya-type trains.
Profits can be earned on these semi AC trains, premium trains like VB and Antyodaya type trains with SL can be run on highly demanded routes only like for eg. UP/Bihar to Bengaluru, Mumbai, etc. and not every where also they can run them as specials with slightly higher fares.
