A rare surprise visitor from Hubballi !!
A GOLDEN OCHRE WDG-4 !!

It was an unexpected surprise, that this locomotive not only came to Mysuru but went ahead upto Nanjangud and returned back.

Featured here are the photos of Golden Ochre (a.k.a Mango livery) Hubballi (UBL) WDG-4 #12005 MUed with UBL WDG-4 #70072 , resting in the afternoon at Ashokapuram (AP), Mysuru.

Both the locomotives hauled a BCNA freight towards Nanjangud Town (NTW) today morning and returned back light to Mysuru in the afternoon. Eventually, the light EMD twins took on the newly built Platform-3 line of Ashokapuram (AP) and were switched off.

THE UNEXPECTED INCIDENT ...
Spotting this rare locomotive was a pleasure, but was a bad experience because soon I was caught red-handed by one RPF. He tried to grab my phone and held my hand tight and behaved weirdly. I pleaded him and tried my best telling him I'm a train enthusiast, but he never let me free. He forced me to pay the fine of 2000/- but I never had a single penny. Eventually, he forced me to open any identity credentials. I obliged and he took the pics of the softcopy of my passport and warned me not to come here forever.

Eventually my photos are saved, but I'm NOTED for sure. Please tell me is there anything wrong in taking pics of a locomotive ?? Is it offensive ??

-------------------------------------------------

I observed the Mango liveried #12005 in lead, and #70072 in trailing, hauling the BCNA freight towards Nanjangud at 9AM from my home window. But the return time of the light locos after dropping freight was uncertain. Thanks to my other fellow RFs who went and spotted the trains and informed about them resting at Ashokapuram (AP). Henceforth this spotting was possible. Though, the ending was very bad.

Since the locos were in OFF state, I couldn't record their idling sounds. Sorry for that.

INDEED a Bittersweet (or Sweetbitter) experience.
