The station was rather empty compared to main Varanasi Jn [but this is true for Varanasi City and Kashi as well since fewer trains stop at these points]. This station is also the starting point of many trains now including but not limited to an intercity bound to Lucknow and Shiv Ganga Express. Amenties are limited to Platform no. 1 when I visited there [maybe due to lack of trains at that time; fewer passengers were visible as well].
