I am planning to travel from Mumbai to Pendra Road during Diwali vacation. As there is no direct train, I am planning to change over at ET / JBP to catch 12854 / 18233 train. For past many days I am seeing trains running late by 10-12 hours daily. Is this a common practice on this route? If so, how should one plan the travel to Amarkantak? How much buffer one should keep to be comfortable to catch connecting train. I am worried. Any suggestions welcome.

Thank you for your suggestion. Certainly make sense. To avoid the risk of missing connecting trains, I am planning to keep a day or two for JBP Sight seeing and then proceed to Amarkantak from Jabalpur, either by bus (if day journey) or by 12854 (if night journey). Many thanks
