I think rule of telescopic fare may be holding good when a request is made on a route when First train reaches the terminus, but passenger has to go further beyond terminus, and has to catch another train: I traveled once ADI-MAS, MAS-MDU, with telescopic fare benefit, filled up the form for onward journey in single form. was issued two tickets, and MAS - MDU was having 'PNR' reference of ADI...

What IR forces us to travel direct train is 1894 kms... and if we do not wish to use that route, then they deny us telescopic fare.... Great rules... King is Right... Always...
