Unwanted , low patronized halts , might not have affected any train as much as it affected 12015 Ajmer Shatabdi. The train use to be top priority on Delhi-Jaipur section in the previous Decade.
People use to prefer this train because of the travel time and the convenient scheduling. You board train between 6-7 am in Delhi NCR and reach Jaipur by 10.15-10.30 am . This schedule suited the office goers , business travelers , tourists and the pilgrims visiting Ajmer Dargarh (specially who return by the same train after paying a 3 hour visit at Ajmer.).

, IR has ruined it all. The train never reached Jaipur before 11 am.
especially after introducing the halt at Bandikui.
The train is unable to cover the delay it catches between Delhi and Alwar , which is use to do otherwise at Alwar Jaipur section.
Railway should also think about RE halt. either remove it or adjust the timings in such a way that it helps train to absorb the delay of Delhi-Alwar section in which RE becomes catalyst. Train usually reraches before time at RE and then regulated at the station to leave at the scheduled time.
Bandikui can be completely abandoned as there are so many train running ahead of Shatabdi , Like Pooja which runs empty between Delhi and Ajmer or Ranikhet express.
Scheduling Ranikhet ahead of Shatabdi and not allowing it's overtake is another issue which is causing delay to this train.
IR needs to distinguish between the value offerings amongst classes and trains. Train meant to cater the needs of business travelers and tourists can not be run for solving populist agenda.
As inconvenience is growing and train has not been a reliable mode of travel from past 2-3 years. the people has started to shift to the alternate modes.
This Shatabdi is in sorrow state now...
