except for BTI , there is no major population center in south western Punjab.
Firozpur is more of less a military town ..
Patiala has some tourism and industrial base , it is the cultural center of Punjab..
The first introduced BTI shatabdi use to run through PTI . It was later abandoned .. and intercity was introduced..

Now on two proposed routes Shatabdi/VB will give decent passnegers for intermediate and end to end stations because ndls-umb section is covering in 2 hours 10 min only
Delhi BTI is max 5 hours by road.. via ambala it would take around 6 hours. a 300 km odd journey would become 375 km journey .. lets see what happens .. IR is proposing SGNR VB.. i dont see it will do any wonders ..

Bhatinda shabdi was introduced 10-15 years back
Tracks has improved a lot, SGNR-BTI-JIND VB will be a good train to introduce now

BTI shatabdi was re avtarised as Firozpur shatabdi which was never resumed after covid.. due to occupancy issues.
