The friend who connected with me for almost all my trips between the 2 state capitals, was very hesitant to connect with me this time. Main fact was I didn't give him the required notice period , and he was held with his prior commitments . He said, sorry I am overbooked , try contacting me a day before the trip .

Well , not wanting to keep myself waiting and looking for other company , remembered my long time crush . But I was hesitant to contact her , for her expectations was different, and whether she would like to give me company . But , literally looked like , the Princess was waiting for this Prince , for I had told her few years ago, that I would always like to meet her . It was not that I never met her , but casual meets vs visits are different. This time it's a long time company .

My close friend was not in good mood seeing this . He was pretty annoyed and in his annoyance , he threw of his beautiful adornment that I always admired him with . You will never get a chance to see me with this anymore. You couldn't wait for me and hurried for a person of different stature . You have other commitments over your friend , so this is my permanent revenge to you . I am discarding this for ever and next time onwards you will only see me with as a regular, I will not carry this adornment for you.

Well , he is in a bad mood indeed , but friends do understand if we talk once. Will talk to him sooner and tried to make amends. Friends are afterall friends isn't it . Let me see, may be have a good coffee with him with an enjoyable journey sooner " Yeh dosti, hum nahi thodenge, chodenge Alco magar , 86 na chodenge "

Anyway ,as already planned , went to meet the long love . Of course , the Princess had to showcase her beauty , and looks like she took time for make up that she couldn't make up . Prince was waiting desperately, and she was delayed completely. In the meantime, the Seemaraja moved out after seeing me entering the station

Slowly , elegantly , the white stallion entered the parking lot with the chariots behind, just as the dusk was approaching . The Princess was slowly arriving in the long flowing red dress with a greyish lining , with about 45 mins delay. They had to follow another chariot from the same place as the Princess, who was 90 mins delayed and arrived barely 10 mins before , and they had to trail all the way , the stallion ahead was slightly aggressive and did not give them chance to overtake .

Meeting the Princess at the same location, as years ago, is a matter of nostalgia , and the Prince and Princess exchanged smiles as they met each other again, after the gap, as the musicians at the either end of the chariot provided their music , we broke into a song, of the era of our original meeting

Male - Tu Mile , Dil Khile, aur chalne ko kya chahiye

Male - Saare sansaar ka pyaar meine tujhi me paaya

Walked a bit away from the Princess and stood facing her , to admire her beauty from long . After a few moments , realised the stallion was ready ,as the horses neighed , indicating they want to run. They were almost an hour late and were in a urgency to continue . The Princess lent her hand , and watching her eyes romantically , held it and entered into the chariot , to spend the time with the Princess .

The chariot had been just cleaned , and the garbage disposed off , making it very tidy , and the ambience was cool and well lit . Water was immediately served and the chariot slowly pulled out, pulling very slowly . A chariot of 4 pillars went on the opposite , and ours picked up speed

Am I still a Princess for you, she asked, with a small tear in eyes and a smile on the face. I curved myeyebrows to understand her better. She replied - "We are in a democracy now, everyone are almost equal and there are quite many of them who are of now my status , while I too get illtreated . But you reminded me and wanted to meet me again, so just asked, what you feel. " - " I can never forget the 1st time I met you, glittering in the glowing sun, and meeting you at the same location again itself is a sense of excitement for me. Whoever comes , whoever changes , and whatever changes , my admiration for this Princess will never change . You are and will remain a Princess and the 1st love , 1st impression will never change".

The sun had set and it got pretty dark as we passed through a next town , which was also a junction point . The Seemaraja was standing there , as the chariot went past him . A bit of envy showed up on the face of the Raja , seeing the Princess talking to me cosily in the cool ambience . The Princess showed her style past him , as the chariot proceeded into the darkness

Dinner was served in the meantime , but the food quantity was completely lessened, and there was no soup provided . Princess said, this is what I said , see how things have changed . No problem, dinner is secondary , staying with you is primary ,I replied and finished it . Anyway it was sufficient for me that day . The end dessert had melted , as per the caterers , who handed over a piece of sweet as a replacement .

The darkness had set and the cool ambience set the tone to retire for the day . The lullaby of the Princess and the short sweet crisps shakes of the chariot ensured I was well asleep soon, cosy and comfortable in the blanket as the temperature was pretty cool. A long discussion went on , as the stallions galloped to make up for the time lost. Discussion related to previous few years , work, Covid , changes and things soon set the time running

Much before dawn, as the darkness was still present , the horses slowed down , indicating they were arriving at the destination. There was a small pass through , as the Princess was not able to take up her primary place , and had to change a bit . A King on the adjacent platform started at the Princess chariot entering , the recently born child Prince was still sleeping in his room that day , as it was Tuesday and it was a school holiday for him . The chariot soon stopped , and the Princess led me to the door . As previously, the guards were ready to take her back to the castle , and I exchanged the customary leaving glance . She smiled .." See you sooner..keep in touch please..this break is too long ".. Don't worry, I replied , moving away from her, into the modern democratic nation and into routine work , as the watch ticked to 530AM.
