Two reasons-
✓Primary Maintenance is done at RJPB as there are no facilities at PNBE
✓To free PF at PNBE

Reason behind this is Rncc where TEJAS gets primary maintenance... It is located close to RJPB rly station
The reasons are :-
1. The maintenance is done at RNCC just adjacent to RJPB
2. By starting from RJPB, it occupies PNBE platform 1 for only 10 mins.
3. By extending it to RJPB, RJPB caters passengers of Eastern Patna, whereas PNBE caters Western Patna.

Platform is not a big issue at Patna after sending train to RJPB and Danapur without touching Patna.
