We should try to speed up the Janshatabdi express from Mayiladuthurai to Coimbatore and extend it to Chidambaram, all in one train. Instead of Irugur, let's have a halt at Pilamedu for Coimbatore airport. This will give us better connectivity, reaching the Cuddalore district and connecting Cuddalore/Pondicherry as well. Right now, we've got this Janshatabdi express running almost every day, getting people from the delta districts to Trichy and kongu belt. It used to have less than 8 coaches, but now it's got 22. Pretty cool, huh?

Attempt TT for speeding up the existing Janshatabdi express between Mayiladuthurai to coimbatore and extending it to chidambaram, in a single rake can go and return back.
Irugur halt replaced by pilamedu, for connection to coimbatore airport.
It provides a newer connectivity, touching the Cuddalore district also, and can connect Cuddalore / pondicherry as well.
Presently one of the very important near daily running intercity type superfast connectivity between the delta districts to Trichy and kongu belt, the Janshatabdi express, from being less than 8 coacher to 22 coacher now.
