Hello all, how safe is this train? I am (male) traveling with 3 women from SDAH to NJP. Is there danger from getting attacked by Naxals or from the recent disturbance in Assam. Also, we are going by 1 AC. Is first AC safe? Who are the co passengers - are they regular passengers or politically connected people? Any help or comments would be welcome. Thanks Rag
Look friend there is no guarantee against such attacks and nobody is so sure that when they will attack, but still people are travelling. So leave your luck to god and continue with journey..

The Darjeeling Mail is the most high priority train on the Khana- Rampurhat- Malda Town- Katihar- NJP route. It is the most secured train as well, considering the fact that ministers and high officials regularly travel on this train. And prefer to travel on this instead of roadway or (many times) airway.. So you are assured that you have booked your ticket in the safest option available..
this is a very high profile train . the two times ive gone by this train , MPs and MLAs were my copassengers.so u can expect "politically connected people" for sure. and this train doesnt go thru assam ,, so mostly safe .
Its totally Safe! and this train does not goes to assam. and this train is always escorted by RPF with modern weapons
