got to the platform to catch this rare train in MPS action.
And there it was the 12309 Rajender Nagar Rajdhani "the Longest rajdhani of India" led by mighty MGS WAP-4#22822 first comes smashing past the Fog and then tears the tracks at MPS.
WAP4 surely was given a daunting task to haul this 21 long coach Rajdhani train and it appeared through it's aggression that it passed the test with flying colors ,I just wish someday it gets a 3-phase loco,it will be a total delightful moment for me.
This was my first catch of 12309,which has now become the longest Rajdhani in terms of coaches with effect from 22nd October 2012.

Almost all the trains between patna and delhi including the best like rajdhani and worst like toofan runs full throught the year,so an additional sf/ac/gr is must needed.....

Instead or running trins towards patna if they run train in the route Cpr-Hjp-Mfp-Dbg then the rush on these trains will come down.. You know everytime I get down from a Patna Bound train I find at least 200-300 people getting down and heading towards bus stand to catch bus for Darbanga or Muzaffarpur, or Sitamarhi..
The problem is that this rooute is fully ignored and there are less trains plying in that region.. I am from Muzaffarpur, but to travel in 3AC i had to go via patna as the trains get full on the opening day itself... This year I have travelled 10 times and every time I went via Patna...

The reasons r :-
PNBE - NDLS route is comparatively faster than SPJ - NDLS route..
A pax from SPJ/MFP will reach NDLS in almost half the time through PNBE then through GKP...
As far as trains are concerned,i think both routes are given equal priority...

premium trains like patna rajdhani,guwahati raj,sampoorna kranti,poorva,vikramsheela,BGP gr,JYG gr,brahamputra mail,magadh,ne and seemanchal runs through Patna then guwahati raj,vaishali,sapt kranti,shc gr,mfp gr,swatantrata senani,bihar sampark kranti,awadh assam,amrapali,sadbhavana,lichchvi,njp ndls... runs through MFP but i think no. of trains through both the routes for delhi must be increased...

I think Manish bhai that Anand vihar-Patna Special which runs on LHB rake is definitely not getting any priority,also the train is always running late,so i think the IR guys should transfer this rake to any other train and start running a Gari Rath on this NDLS-Darbangha Route to patna,in this way the pressure on Bihar SK will reduce and also the train will be having a massive patronage reason being the common man can afford the ticket.
