Lucknow to Tanakpur on Triveni Express, this journey will be remembered for a lifetime. Reached Lucknow Charbagh at 7:30 am and arrived at Tanakpur hotel after 9 pm at night. If I calculate the travel time from home, it's almost 14 hours, whereas I often reach Tanakpur from Lucknow in just 5 hours by car. Left home at 6 am and drove via Sitapur, Puranpur, Khatima, and reached TPU by 11:15 am. It was my first time going to Tanakpur by train, and even on this route, the train from Pilibhit to TPU took a very long time. Railways really need to do something drastically, there's no speed, tracks are not in good condition, and locomotives are not working properly. After witnessing the sorry state of the train four times, I have to say that even in the next 50 years, we will be nowhere near Japan and their bullet train. They even have the entire supervision and rolling stock provided by the Japanese. I don't know when our MB section will improve.
