Established on 13th November 1983, Diesel Loco Shed Malda Town ( ISO 9001:2008 certified ) is a rare case of a shed owned by N.F. Railway built on land owned by Eastern Railway. A similar example is Electric Loco Shed Tughlakabad owned by WCR. The shed is famous for their Alco workhorses & their custom livery. However, they have homed EMDs too for a short period of time & are now maintaining WAG 9HC locomotives as well since the recent past.
