What is OEA/OEM Maintenance and how is it different from Regular PM/SM if it is?
OEA is done well on pit/washing lines but if not available is can be done at PFs(washable aprons are necessary)/yards. As per IR manual for LHB coach maintenance,
OEA involves locking and securing the rake, amenity and cleaning attention and rolling-in examination of bogies at the end of the PF. Please note that OEA should not be confused with SM.

If a train runs 6000 kms up and down then initially pm is done and after reaching destination maintenance is done which is called as secondary maintenance and after coming back to the source again pm is done before sending the rake
OEA in simple words is locking the rake, cleaning the rake (dust and garbage) and water filling at the destination point

I know PM but does SM too involve the same tasks as PM like undercarriage inspection, etc on pitlines ?
