Feeling sad for our Tiruvannamalai region. The Kasi train goes to Kashi without connecting Tamil Nadu's Kasi and South Kailash (Arunachaleshwar Temple). They should divert the already running Rameswaram-Banaras train via Kancheepuram, Arakkonam, and Perambur. This train should pass through Tiruvannamalai, Katpadi, Arakkonam, Perambur to fulfill the main purpose of this Kasi Tamil Sangam Train.

In my opinion, Tiruvannamalai is the best choice for this Kashi Connectivity and the name "Kasi Tamil Sangam" because it has the biggest Lord Shiva temple in Tamil Nadu. Both the Kasi temple and Tiruvannamalai are very similar in their origin, history, and everything else. There can't be a better option than this "Kashi Tamil Sangam Train" to connect these popular ancient pilgrimage sites.

The VM-KPD section is already not fully utilized and there are very few trains available for Tiruvannamalai. This is another disappointment from Southern Railways. They didn't even provide a daily Memu train for Chennai. It could have been another highly requested Chennai train and the first and most important connection to Varanasi and Kanniyakumari. This is a costly miss for the Railways and a loss for Tiruvannamalai.
