Ideally they could taken the shortest route with faster MPS... wondering why going via MV and then via Kanchipuram, etc....?? They could have very well connected MS and then headed to BZA....
This train was mentioned last year by railway minister when Kashi Tamil sangama was going on he will introduced one train from tamil nadu to Kashi.It took one year and other trains are not yet approved.Modi is visiting and he will inuagrate.
It is mainly to cover pilgrims area ,and it is going shortest route to varanashi by gondia route.saving 200 kms more.
What stoppage i want more? Look i'm not saying this only because of my hometown excluded, it is a mistake of excluding Tiruvannamalai over Kanchipuram and let the train roll more kms in chennai region with CGL, AJJ, PER stoppages.
The primary purpose of the train is to connect Popular Pilgrimages of TN with Kasi which is home to Lord Shiva's Popular Temple. They left out Tiruvannamalai, which is symbolically the "Tamilnadu's Kasi" and the biggest/popular/ancient/most sacred lord shiva temple in Tamilnadu.
With due respect, tell me what's the mistake here?...
