Better to deboard at Tambaram you can get OLA cab the distance is 50km and is showing Rs 1120. Though Chengalpattu to Mahabalipuram is 30km if OlA cabs are not near by you will be at risk. Local cabs you can't bargain them.

Tambaram has buses till Mamallapuram or Mahabalipuram for every 20 minutes.
