Traveled by this train last Saturday from Chennai. Some observations -
The train arrived at Egmore around 30 to 40 mins late.
Old LHB coaches.
No TTE in sleeper coach (I traveled in S7) till Palakkad. TTE came after that only.

more... at all stations almost late, but very generous slack time that was provided, gave the edge to show that the train is running on time. TUP to PTJ is 1.30 mins running time, and KGQ to MAQ is 2.10 mins.
Finally, the train reached on time :)
18 hours running time is a patience testing for this distance where other trains cover in 15 to 16 hours.
Usually the MAQ cries for platform constrains when it comes to specials, but this train was graciously accepted instead of shooing it to MAJN.

- Finally, the train actually made it on time, can you believe it?
- Running for a whole 18 hours is seriously testing my patience for this distance, considering other trains do it in 15 to 16 hours.
- Usually, when it comes to special trains, MAQ always cries about platform problems. But this time, they gracefully accepted this train instead of sending it to MAJN.
