Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada Uday and Visakhapatnam-Guntur Simhadri express trains are canceled from Jan 1st to Jan 15th. Trains are being diverted for 2 weeks. The Ernakulam-Patna and Benguluru-Guwahati trains, and Mumbai-Bhubaneswar-Konark trains are being diverted via Gudivada and BVRM. The Dhanbad-Allepy and Hatia-Benguluru trains are being diverted via NDD and BVRM. This cancellation drama is happening even during the peak Sankranti season, which is really annoying for travelers. Both these trains have been canceled for the past 7 months. I don't understand what safety works are being done at Vijayawada and why they can't operate the Simhadri express via a diverted route. By the time Uday reaches Mustabad, it will be 10:45, and since it's only one train, they can manually pass it and let it return to VJA at 17:15. The works should be finished by 17:00 since it's winter and getting dark.
