The train from Patna reaches Dumka but does not extend to Rampurhat. But the Mourakshi First Pressenger and Sealdah Rampurhat MEMU trains have been extended from Rampurhat to Jharkhand. Although Rampurhat is the highest revenue-generating station in this region, there is no dedicated train from Patna/Delhi to Rampurhat, except for the state capital, Kolkata.

Ironically RPH has far better connectivity than DUMK to most place, be it north east, Mumbai or South India.
The only place they don't have a direct train is DLI side and PNBE and their jealousy sparks towards a station with the fraction of the railway connectivity that RPH.
