The delay is attributed to the requirement of a 35-meter crane for the tunnelling work, which is being restricted due to flight operations at the airport. alawa, Noapara-Barasat metro project bhi metro aur airport authorities ke beech underground tunnel excavation ko lekar tussle ki wajah se delay ho raha hai. State government ne underground work ke liye rasta clear kar diya hai, lekin metro project abhi tak start nahin ho paya. Delay ki wajah 35-meter crane ki zarurat hai tunnelling work ke liye, jisko airport par flight operations ke wajah se allow nahin kiya ja raha hai. Dakshineswar mein metro line ka expansion bhi delay ho raha hai, iske bawjood state government metro projects ko full support dene ka claim kar raha hai.
