Left Neglected due to less patronage & Gauge Conversion of Londa - Hubballi. However line was reviewed & converted to BG for serving Paper Mills. There was actually a Dandeli station right into Main Town during Meter Gauge. That was abandoned & curtailed it till Ambewadi station which is recently renamed to Dandeli. Also this station was used to stable paper mill freight rake.

During Suresh Angadi Tenure as MoSR, this station was reviewed & 2 pairs of Train were also introduced one each from Hubballi & Dharwad. The joy was...

short lived thanks to Covid period, trains were stopped & never reviewed till now.

BTW platforms were low level then but now have been raised, Line Electrified & also station renamed to Dandeli. , But no train services yet. Hope before Election code of conduct, Politicians should push for introduction of some trains.
