If they are using a sensor based on weighing principles or infrared or exploring the surface area, an Elephant is way larger than a Lion on all of these paramaters.
Not to mention Lions are very agile and nimble in short bursts , with highly attuned senses since they are from the feline family.
So, I sincerely doubt a dedicated system to protect lions is even needed.
