Howrah is undoubtedly the biggest & busiest rail station in India with 24 (the most) platforms.
sealdah including sealdah(south) terminal is the busiest railway station in india with the highest number of footfall annually.
Mumbai has lots of busy station and thats the best part. They have successfully decentralized the crowd.

Do u have figures to back ur theory
There are only 15-16 platforms in Sealdah and very few local trains
Howrah has 23 platforms and plans are there to build 15 more by 2016
