We got a detour at Samalkot, so the ride from Pithapuram to Kakinada town station will just be like 20km. They're planning a new route that's also 20km but links up with Kakinada Town station through Samalkot Kakinada line. The train will have to flip directions if it wants to head to Kotipalli line or go back to Samalkot. So, mainline is a no-go 'cause it will just add a solid 20km to the Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada journey.
