In recent days, passengers troubled by railway blocks between Anuppur and Katni stations due to the construction of the second and third rail lines have received good news. The block on this route has now ended, and consequently, the canceled trains have resumed. The 97-kilometer third line on the Katni route is now operational, providing relief to passengers traveling between Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. Earlier, due to railway blocks between Anuppur and Katni, many trains on this route were canceled for the past 17 days, causing inconvenience to thousands of passengers. With the block now lifted, trains have begun running again on the tracks.
Railway officials reported that the interlocking work for the third rail line has been ongoing since June 13.

Following several blocks, the completion of the third line will enhance connectivity and increase train speeds. Additionally, during a week-long block, commissioning work for 11 kilometers of rail line between Ghunghuti and Mudaria stations under non-interlocking was completed at Mudaria station.
In this hot season, Katni Railway Line, along with Nagpur Railway, Secunderabad Railway, Chakradharpur Railway, and now Bhopal Railway Mandal, are also undergoing blocks. Due to blocks scheduled until July 5 by the railways, the operation of more than 100 passenger trains has been affected.
Due to the cancellation of trains during the 17-day block in June, the Railway has had to refund passengers at Raipur Railway Division's reservation counters a total of Rs. 1 crore 8 lakh 86 thousand. Such situations often lead passengers to seek refunds for confirmed reservations made months in advance.
