Dheleepan_G_V~ 2114 blog postsMy mom and my sister travelled in the inaugral special of the Madurai- Chennai Duronto. They said that the train was almost full and had around 90% occupancy. They travelled in B 9 coach. They were very happy on the cleanliness and said that the train departed ontime. They said that the train was very fast and could feel the speed but they felt disappointed as the Duronto was made to arrive at Chennai Central only at 08.15 hours as against the scheduled arrival of 07.10 hours. They said the train crossed Tiruvallur station by 06.50 hours and was made to crawl all the way upto Chennai Central with frequent slowdowns and halts. The halt after Basin Bridge was very long according to them. Apart from this they were very much satisfied and happy with the service.

Nice feedback it is known that MAS is at its peak during 7.10 not sure why they opted MAS.But arriving one hour late in the initial days is not a bad performance.This is a very demanding route all of us know so I am very happy that this is an overnight doronto unlike CBE doronto
yes 7.10 is the most busiest time many trains get delayed by 10 -15mins due to rush
Yes I too feel it enjoys good patronage. I checked the availability for both up and down trains and for certain dates its already in waiting list. Seats are getting filled up fast. Hope in future it will gain more patronage.
