well convenience is a relative thing...pnbe hwh jan shatabdi is one of the longest jan shatabdi in indian railways...it is an excellent option for travellers who intend to reach hwh during day...not all like overnight travel...excellent patronage too(though more by current and unreserved passengers than the reserved ones). for me to catch a train even at 8 am would be inconvenient...but then might be useful for many...i jus wanted to confirm the cause for calling it weird...
BG bhai... I agree this is one longest JS running and also got good patronage but don't you feel that timings to and from PATNA are bit inconvenient. it can be speeded up a little and few stops like Jamtara and Jamui can be removed.
even reduction in couple of stoppages cant speed up the train. covering about 1050 km during day in eastern railways is not that easy...duronto runs non stop and takes much more time to travel than this jan shatabdi which has 13 stops...so stoppage is no issue at all. the smaller stations are in most need of trains...stations like asn, mka, pnc still have other ultra fast options to connect to hwh/pnbe...
in my view janshatabdi are better than shatabdi as JS are cheap and fast and comfort and u can get seat easily
